Facebook caught on to our epic strategy of uploading photos with our calls to action so that we can get the most traction on their newsfeed. Now, they love photos and want more of them, but they also want their audience to know perfectly well when they’re clicking something that is meant to take them off the Facebook platform.

So Facebook has now changed their newsfeed prioritization algorithm to make sure that brands sharing links and also using the preview pane that is automatically generated by Facebook get a higher ranking on the newsfeed than those who try to game the system by adding a link to the caption of a photo.

Big news because this has been a hack we’ve been using for a long time, but it’s all good. By adjusting to this new Facebook linking policy and still finding a way to keep it as visally pleasing as what we’ve done in the past, this can be a win-win!
