I’m always happy when Twitter makes changes. It’s always getting better and better and that makes it continue to be my favorite social network. The profiles are getting revamped and offering awesome new features. Check it out.

The new layout is coming soon to everyone over the next couple weeks while only a few rockstar tweeters have acces for now.

The biggest thing to note is the opportunity for a HUGE cover photo. This is great for sending people to your Twitter profile and having them just get to know you with some stellar branding that really POPS off the page.

There’s a great way to make your tweets show more about who you are with some of the new features rolling out, making them very prominently posted on your profile page.

Best Tweets are the ones that received the most engagement from people who saw the activity. These tweets will remain in their place on the timeline, but show up in much larger font.

Pinned Tweets are the tweet of your choice that you can keep posted at the top of your news feed. Great opportunity to send your profile visitors to the call-to-action of your choice.

Filtered Tweets offer you the opportunity to look at other profiles more strategically. There will be multiple timelines depending on what you’re looking for, from the main Twitter feed, just those with photos or videos and then a feed of tweets and replies. That last differentiation has only been available for “verified” accounts up until this point so this is a great opportunity for personal brands who talk a lot with their audience on Twitter and wanted their personal content to be found more easily without getting verified.
