Fave Comments Questions AND CARDS from January [VIDEO]
If you are familiar with my normal monthly posting schedule, I should have made a video last Thursday with my favorite comments and questions from the month. But as you can see, I just was too excited about the Marc Jacobs story. So we’re going to have Savvy Tuesday be a bit social today and knock that video out. Plus I got some cool cards in the mail I want to share. Grab bag! Yay!
“My apartment back in Houston offered me $200 off if I liked them on Facebook. Of course, I’ll hit “like” for $200. I think it was a smart move from their part… then I moved back to Ohio and of course the good ol’ OH isn’t as socially advanced. I got no sweet “like” offers here.”
This was a comment on my Marc Jacobs video from last week and I love it because I wanted to hear about cool brands doing cool things when it came to “paying” with social. What a brilliant idea from this apartment complex whose Facebook page would otherwise be pretty much overlooked in terms of pages you like. This incentive is growing their audience, and even better, one of people who live at their place where they can then conduct great customer service.
HA! I love this. This comment came from my video about how to talk about yourself. And if there’s anyone who proved they have a hard time with that, at least in front of a large crowd, it was Michael bay at the Samsung keynote for CES. Someone who could have used this advice to recover from a teleprompter fail for sure.
“This video has nothing to do with voiceovers. But everything to do with social networking and collaborating with someone for a video to help you out. I’m sure it works the same way if you need help with a voice over too. Amy has some great advice!”
This was a comment in the form of a Google Plus share and Frank makes a great point. I may have talked a lot about collaborations in this video in the format of being a YouTube creator. But the strategy works across the board. Collaboration has been something that works in every facet of business and marketing, not just videos. So use this idea in any medium that applies best to you.
