Steph Bennett from the StephsBubble channel is closing the channel takeovers for my vacation this week. I’ll be back tomorrow for Sexy Wednesday. But today, she’s sharing her experience as a good friend of Savvy Sexy Social about her journey from #SSSVEDA participant (our bi-annual vlogging event) to vlogger.
Watch From #SSSVEDA to Vlogger:
Steph decided to jump in on the #SSSVEDA challenge to really expand on her vlogging capabilities rather than just a few videos here and there on random networks. She loved it, had a great time and met a lot of new people from the event.
It was a great learning experience, especially in that she realized how easily she has been able to video blog in public — something more difficult for most people. This is really useful because when you’re busy and don’t have time to get to a “set” you can just start filming wherever you are and connect with your audience from the environment and experiences you’re currently having. People can live vicariously through you. But be aware that people might be watching and think you’re taking a selfie
After #SSSVEDA in April, Steph lost her focus without the community, the schedule and the challenge. She needed to find her “sticky point”. Her thing that was going to keep focus and drive in regular motion so that she would create more videos for her brand.
So when the August festivities for #SSSVEDA rolled around she was really ready to jump back on board. This second run helped her realize the true niche she can best speak to in regular video content: marketing and PR.
