Because the Internet has opened up so many possibilities for people to grow a business, I love discovering new platforms that continue to make the process even more seamless. The tool we’re going to talk about today fits very well into that mission.
Live Ninja looks a lot like another Skype or Google Hangout offering with it’s own little bells and whistles, but it’s so much more than that. It actually gives you a place to start, get paid for and conduct a real consulting business.
The main feature is video conferencing on the basis of scheduling to speak with someone who is a “ninja” in a particular niche. They have a set rate per minute, half hour or hour and you can book a time to meet with them on those terms on this platform.
It’s great for people looking for advice that can’t afford to hire long term consulting. You can pay someone for 5 minutes and just get one question answered based on someone’s experience rather than a random Google result.
It’s aboslutely amazing what this platform is doing to kick unemployment in the butt. There is absolutely no excuse with Live Ninja. If you can help people by speaking with them or showing them how to do something, you can make income with this platform.
This is obviously something that people already do on the Internet, but the difference is that Live Ninja is a one-stop shop. Clients search for you based on the specialty they’re looking for on the platform. Then they find you and check your schedule. They book an appointment on the platform. They pay on the platform. Then they meet with you on the platform. Rather than jumping around from a scheduling app, to a payment app to a video conferencing app. You get it all taken care of in one place to streamline the process.
My only feedback to the CEO when he gave me a “tour” of Live Ninja was that the scheduling feature be able to check my Google Calendar to see when I’m available for appointments rather than only goin on a time frames I specified, making double booking happen less. So something to keep in mind when you’re setting up your schedule but I believe this is something they are working on for the future.
