In the last year, YouTube has made it easier for all users to become official partners with the opportunity to monetize. One of the great perks of having one of these accounts is the ability to have a custom thumbnail.
So today for Sexy Wednesday, I am sharing a tutorial of how I make all of my thumbnails so my videos stand out in search, subscription boxes, and social media so more people will click to view.
Watch How to Make Fun YouTube Thumbnails:
- Find the option in your video editor to grab a freeze frame of your video so you can easily create a high definition image to start with. If you can’t do this, you can upload your video to YouTube and then use browser screen capture software to take a photos.
- Take advantage of free and easy to use design programs like PicMonkey. This makes text, color changes and pretty much anything else you like possible.
- Use quick text teasers to further entice clicks. The title of your video helps but that additional text on the image often helps convert more frequently.
