Visual Content: 80% of marketers are budgeting for it in 2013. Are you? [INFOGRAPHIC]

Savvy Sexy Social is no stranger to visual content. From video blogging to design tips and photo strategy, you can learn quite a bit about it around here.

So I was tickled to share this infographic with you from a study done by the PR firm Matter Communication about the mindsets of marketers when it comes to visual concepts in content marketing. Take a look:

matter communication marketers visual content

95% of marketers believe visual content is very important for online marketing
89% are already using or plan to use visual content in social media
87% believe visual content is critical for traditional marketing
80% plan to budget for production of visual content in 2013
96.7% believe that visual content engages best on social media

The mention of a budget can make a business owner shy away a bit, but the reality is visual content is extremely accessible. Video (as I have so regularly shown you) doesn’t need to break the bank. And if you have a phone, you have the ability to give your audience the photographical insight they’re looking for.

If you haven’t already, it’s long overdue for you to start thinking about how your company can get more visual. What advice can you provide in a video? What quotes can you share with a picture? How can you give your audience an insider look?

Get creative. Be personal. Use a camera. (Check out the one I use.)
