For those of you who are not familiar with what a Klout score is, then you should check out my latest blog for an explanation so that this blog will actually make sense to you. Basically, it’s one of the best ways to measure your Twitter engagement. Tony Ahn wrote an article on Social Media Today about how he increased his Klout “reach”, which is essentially how many ACTUAL people are influenced by your tweets (usually MUCH lower than the actual number of followers you have). Regardless of whether you want to educate yourself on the Klout score or not, taking Tony’s advice from this article will still increase your engagement with other tweeters, so I strongly recommend you give it a read.
Social Takeaway: Tony has THANKED every since person who RT’d his content and then invited them to follow him. He didn’t automate any of this, but sent each tweet out personally. This kind act will usually cause the other tweeter to follow back because they already liked your content in the first place AND NOW you are giving them the time of day! Hello, engagement! Great to see you round these parts!
