You Can’t Just HAVE My Picture!

My good friend @AliInOhio posed this question awhile back and a lot of others ask me as well.  It’s important to know the rules when it comes to “borrowing” photos from photographers to dress up your stuff.  Thank you Mack Collier, for writing this blog because even though I know the basics (common sense is what I actually call it) it’s nice to see the technical terms spelled out so you can play by the rules.

Savvy Takeaway — In addition to explanations of common creative licenses, Mack also suggest turning to Flickr for your photo search.  Flickr asks all members to define the licensing terms of their uploads so you’ll definitely know whether or not you can use someone’s stuff.  Great information for photo seekers like me!
